The next few pages are helpful tools on how to use the online learning platform Canvas. This is the platform where all of NCM's online classes take place, so you may find it useful to familiarize yourself with it. (Please see the Technology page for information about all of our online systems, the platforms you will be using in your program.)

In addition, feel free to take a look at the Learning Objectives for this orientation. You can also find them within the "Syllabus" section in the left-hand menu-- it's a good practice when you enroll in your online courses at NCM to always take a look at the syllabus and understand the learning objectives, expectations, and required materials.

Announcements: This is where NCM will share any important announcements-- for example, if we are going to be closed for a holiday and won't be hosting a student services Zoom call.

Syllabus: see above!

Modules: You can always click here to see all the content for a course and how it is organized. There are some sections (modules) that have to be completed in sequential order, whereas others you can bounce around. If you ever get "turned around" while you are looking through a Canvas course and are not sure where to start up again, "Modules" is a good place to start. You will see a checkmark next to any modules you have already completed, so you can see what your next step should be.
